The Sakai Star and Planet Formation Laboratory at the RIKEN Advanced Science Institute invites applications for a staff researcher (equivalent to a special assistant professor) or special researcher in the field of molecular spectroscopy.
Job description
Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas (A)
In collaboration with the principal investigator and sub-investigators of Project A01 "Chemical Evolution of Planet-Forming Regions Explored by High-Sensitivity and High-Resolution Observations" (R2-R6) of "Next-Generation Astrochemistry: Reconstruction of Science Based on Understanding of Elementary Processes", the following research will be promoted.
Theme
Molecular spectroscopy in millimeter/submillimeter wave band and development of spectroscopic instruments
The researcher will be involved in the analysis (including determination of molecular constants, etc.) and development of data acquired by the molecular spectrometer SUMIRE (Spectrometer Using superconductor MIxer REceiver) currently in operation in our laboratory. It is also possible to propose and promote other planned research related to Group A01 in parallel (negotiable).
