[Press Release] The Formation of Exoplanet Systems and the Solar System Explored by Deuterium - Large-Scale Observations of the Birthplace of the Planets with ALMA Telescope

An international research team led by Yuri Aikawa, Theoretical Group, has executed a large-scale observation program "Molecules with ALMA at Planet-forming Scales" using the ALMA telescope for protoplanetary disks surrounding five young stars.
As a result, the distribution of deuterium-containing molecules and their ionization rates at planet-forming sites was successfully depicted with unprecedentedly high resolution. For more information, access this page.
